Playing Sports
Playing Sports
Individually
You may feel responsibility for your own success or satisfaction. Many times, entertaining ourselves stems from being neglected by others, so we dream of playing alone and enjoying ourselves in spite of them. Other times, it is a product of distancing ourselves from others, even if perhaps they would want us to play in the group.
Do you feel a sense of loneliness or comfort in the dream?
With Others
Dreaming of playing with others can be a symptom of your need to enhance your interpersonal communication skills. It can also inform you of the possibility that you have been neglecting communion with others, and that you need to seek more camaraderie in your life.
Was the game in the dream for fun or competition?

Quarantine
Quarantine
In dreams, the idea of being quarantined is the idea that others are prohibited from contact with you for generally secretive reasons. This is different from aloneness (which is voluntary) or abandonment (which is malicious). In quarantine it is often for your own good that others are leaving you alone. In these dreams it is the need to cleanse or renew the spirit that often creates this situation.
Another version of this dream is being quarantined for punitive reasons. If you are experiencing some ambivalence about your moral life, you may bring quarantine upon yourself in dreaming as a means of resolving the situation. You may be seeking a clean bill of health from others concerning the situation that has prompted the quarantine situation.
Basically, it is a way of testing taboos subconsciously. If your waking life has brought you to a place of moral uncertainty, your subconscious may govern a time of evaluation, while you dream of being separated from the person or circumstances central to the conflict.

Public Speaking
Public Speaking
Public speaking is the number one fear of the majority of adults-it even ranks higher than death! The result is that dreams of this sort are common. Rarely are they nightmares, but rather dreams of scrutiny and overcoming. Often the occasion of the speaking or the audience members will suggest something to you about an area of your life where people are looking too closely for your comfort.
Another version of this is the public speaking dream where the topic or attire is totally inappropriate for the dreamer's context. This dream is similar to the nudity dream in that exposure and inadequacy are themes in the dream. The dream may be an attempt to expose a weakness that you are covering up.
Was the nature of your public appearance absurd, or did it somehow fit logically with your waking life?
Did you feel a sense of high anxiety during the situation, or were you calm and forthright?

Fruit, Grocery Store, Holidays
Fruit
Fruit can be a symbol for femininity, harvest, or decay. However, it could just as easily fall into interpretations of food. Therefore, how the fruit was present in your dream should be carefully considered.
Did you offer fruit to someone, or vice versa?
Did the presence of a particular kind of fruit in the dream correlate to an appearance of that fruit in your recent waking life?
Grocery Store
The grocery store is a place of necessity, compared to the department store of diversity and choices. To dream of being in a grocery store may be to dream of acquiring sufficiency for one's needs. What is important is to look at whether or not the grocery is a good option for acquiring what is needed.
Does the grocery store fit your needs, or do you really need auto parts or some non-food item? This may indicate that you are looking in the wrong place for answers in your waking life.
Do your fellow shoppers seem at ease or harried, and is there a sense that there isn't enough to go around? This may indicate anxiety over finding a mate, locating the right job, or some other limited commodity in the waking life.
Holidays
Holidays are interesting dream settings because they have so much meaning in our waking lives. They can be positive, as in instances of favored memories of family and traditions. They can also be traumatic, in terms of unmet expectations, loss, or absence of loved ones.
How the holiday comes into the dream story is important. If the dreamer knows of the holiday all along, then others' perceptions and participation in the holiday are important to consider.
However, sometimes everyone knows about the holiday except the dreamer. The dreamer may not be able to adequately prepare for or be able to participate in the holiday. This may reflect anxiety about the expectations of others and the willingness to fulfill those expectations. Sometimes we fall short because the expectations are inappropriate; not because we are incompetent. Either feeling or interpretation is an option.
Do others seem prepared for, appropriately excited about, and connected to your understanding of the holiday?
Are the gestures of celebration appropriate?
Do you feel fulfilled, bemused, or empty after the dream?

Supernatural Powers, Bed, Asleep/Sleeping
and interesting topic here
Supernatural Powers
If you have supernatural powers in a dream -- flying, magic, mind-reading, etc. -- it is often a dream of regaining control. Very often, you will be the only one in the dream with these powers and you will use them to work towards a particular end: escape, winning a battle, or rescuing others.
Sometimes, these powers extend to or are opposed by others. In this type of case, your mind is tempering your powers with you inability to fix your own world completely and individually.
Bed
Dreaming of being in bed may be an indication of a lucid dream event. This means that you are aware of being asleep in a dream state. Somehow, your mind is accepting the limitations of your sleeping condition. However, the bed can also be a place of laziness, sickness, death, or sexual encounter. If the bed feels like a symbol for any of these metaphors, the dream may be saying something about how you perceive yourself.
Freud would be inclined to see the bed as a womb, as well. Indeed, the covers pulled over the head on a chilly morning can make the bed a utopian haven against a difficult world.
Asleep / Sleeping
Dreams of being asleep are not unusual. After all, it is the actual state of your body while you are dreaming. However, dreams of being asleep are not usually dreams of being at rest. Sleeping is one of our most vulnerable circumstances in life. When you are asleep, your cares are disarmed, your ability to defend yourself is limited, and your care for others in a practical manner is practically impossible. Dreams of this nature often reflect either our great ease or a sense of violation in life. How you awake, and who wakes you up, are important elements to consider.

Pets
Dreaming about pets is not uncommon, as they fill our lives much as family members (and often we like them a good bit more than family members!). Dreams involving pets often provide simple companionship for the other actions in the dream. However, there may be pet dreams that are either particularly meaningful or troubling.
Acquiring a pet that you do not have in waking life is a pet dream that may reflect your desire to have an animal. However, the dream could include an element of representation if owning the pet is symbolic of some other relationship in life. What kind of pet you acquire could be telling (see animals).
The death of a pet is another particular type of dream in this genre. This dream could symbolize an anxiety if the pet still alive in waking life. However, if the pet has died, it could be a dream of archetypal shift or a particular rite of passage that accompanied that time in your life. You may be recalling that shift or preparing for another one as you move forward.
The third type of pet dream involves having pets that either you have no desire to own or never have owned in waking life. These dreams are important for what the animals symbolize to you in waking life. For instance, you may dream of owning a snake as a pet, yet in waking life you are horribly afraid of snakes. This may project a desire to overcome or control a particular facet of your life depending on what that animal represents to you.
What role did the pet in your dream play-was it there for companionship, to impress someone, or just to shake things up a novelty?

Moon
Moon
The moon is often an archetypal woman image. In many cultures and religious orders, the moon is identified as a mother figure. This is true in Native American, African, Christian, and Eastern literature and lore. The moon dream may come with or generate an intuitive feeling that someone in the inner circle of your life is pregnant.
Another moon scenario is a product of the twentieth century. Specifically, the desire for space travel. These dreams can be based on either the scientific desire to experience the event or the spiritual desire for absolute separation from the churning, tumultuous human experience on earth.
The moon can also evoke feelings of magic and mystery.

Bear
Bear
The appearance of a bear in a dream is a good example of dream interpretation as being culturally shaped. For most of us, bears are not very good companions, and they represent ill-temperament. The exception is in Native American traditions.
For the Navajo and Crow Indians, the bear is a father or grandfather figure that possesses wisdom and knowledge of the sacred.

Power Relationships and Figures
Power Relationships and Figures
In dreams, one of the central interpretive concerns is the relationship between the dreamer and other dream characters. Usually, the relative power of the dreamer to others is important to understanding the meaning of other dream exchanges. Dreams of police, military figures, possessing supernatural powers, weapons, money, or special knowledge are all dreams of power. The question is, does the power reside with the dreamer or with others in the dream?
If the power resides with you as the dreamer, there are probably feelings of competence, success, and conquest (especially romantic) prevalent in your life right now, or else you are hoping for them. People over whom you assert power may represent a facet of your life that feels out of control.
This relationship becomes particularly complex in dream interpretation if you are leading others in a non-coercive way. Power is not just making others do what you want, but being able to influence cooperation through more subtle means. You may lead injured people, dead people who appear as living in your dreams, or others who are afflicted with some loss of sensory ability.
If the power is exerted by others on you, reference the entry on vulnerability for more insight.

Losing a Valuable Object or Person
The things we value most often serve as an extension of our self-awareness. A favorite hat, car, or relationship reflects a part of how we feel about ourselves. Therefore, the loss of such an object in a dream is significant. It is equally significant whether you actually own the object in waking or not.
If the thing lost is an inanimate object, what does it symbolize for you? Examples would be jewelry, favored clothes, or pictures and family heirlooms. In losses of this kind, the indication may be that you are nervous about losing an expensive or important new object in your life.
If a person is lost, the first question to ask is, Who? It may be that you have questions about your commitment to another or their commitment to you. However, it is not to unusual to be looking for a stranger.
Why are you searching for this person?
Do you find this person? Where?
Horned Animals
The horned animal may represent a male power figure in your life,or,
if the horn is nonsensical, it may be a displacement of another person's power (or your perception of unearned power that is being wielded by another). The goal is to discern your feelings about the animal and whether you see any relationshi
between the animal and individuals in your waking life.
If the horned animal is a nonsense creation, such as a horned dog,
it may indicate sexual tension in a relationship.
Do you feel as though someone close to you has
mixed motives for being in a relationship with you?
Another scenario is feeling threatened by another's power to impale you.
You may sense this as being a sort of sexual-penetration anxiety, but the general indication of power and intimidation is more satisfactory.
